More than a concept

Are you still thinking that green tea is only good for drinking? Well if so you are missing it!

We are looking at tea from a very different perspective. Of course it can be made into a healthy and tasty tea, but can also be a delicious food as well as spice. Even more, it can be used to dye the fabric as well as washi paper. Also there are many cutaway branches during the maintenance of the field. It is now made into Tea Tree Dolls, a long gone folk toy of Japan.

Because our tea is fully vegan, free of any pesticide or chemical fertilizers, it is safe to obtain it as spice. It adds great fume and flavor to your dish plate.

When teas are used as a dying substance, it can give variations of colors. We use them for fabrics as well as washi papers. Now we work with Kurume Kasuri to create Tea Kasuri

We welcome you to our challenge

MoulineTea's tea field is located in Yame, Fukuoka, where it is very famous for high-end green tea called Gyokuro. Our tea field is one of the rarest tea field being fully vegan and the tea trees being all native types, over 100years old.

After the heavy rain and natural disaster 10years ago, Many tea fields were abandoned. So we picked a tea field up in the mountain for a new challenge. It took us years of work to maintain the tea field and now it produces one of the finest quality teas. For green tea, we mostly pick by hand, which is an old school style, but we can pick just the right leaves for the best tea. Also using the same leaves from the same tea field, we also make deep steamed green tea as well as black tea and more.
